The art form on the Table Clock face is that of Warli. The Warlis or Varlis are an indigenous tribe from the Maharashtra-Gujarat border. Warli paintings are mostly made by women for special occasions such as weddings or harvests. Made on the walls of their huts, the scenes portray rural life, festivals and dances, trees and animals. The Warli use only white - a mixture of rice paste, water and gum for their paintings. Bamboo sticks chewed at the end are used as paintbrushes.
The clock is battery operated and the cell can be changed
by unscrewing the back.
