The specialty of the saree is the border, where a segment resembles an elephant head (diamond) and it’s foot prints (the vertical lines in either side or the diamond). Hence the name Aane hejje or Aane kal which over time became Anekal. Elephant in Kannada in Aane. The horizontal stripes on the saree denotes the unity or togetherness among the people. Yellow border Anne Hejje reversible ready to wear saree with two pallus. Length 5.70 meters and width 45 inches with two distinctive pallus can be worn on both the sides no need of fall and beading.
