TICH Fine, Soft Kashmiri Wool Stole - Lemon Floral

Fine, Soft Kashmiri Wool Stole - Lemon Floral. An elegant warm stole in a striking combination. An elegant staple for a stylish winter wardrobe. Originally and historically, Shawl making and wool weaving has been a Kashmiri speciality for centuries and further gained prominence over 500 years ago. Shawls have been worn and used as a warm protective garment by royalty since ancient times. The Mughal emperor, Akbar experimented with various styles and encouraged weavers to try new motifs, which helped establish a successful shawl industry in the region. Jammu & Kashmir specialize in the weaving of Raffal & Pashmina shawls. There are a number of wool combinations using various types of wool that impact the overall softness and texture of the stole, muffler or shawl. The shawls and stoles are available in a multitude of colours – woven in patterns, plain or embroidered. Currently, given the advent of technology and demand, a number of stoles/ shawls are machine / loom woven, though the overall design and appeal remains native to the region.
